Description
The user_can_view_create_library_button() function is used to check if the a studio user should be shown the
New Librarybutton in Studio.Currently this works fine in the legacy studio UI, but in the split studio view, users who don't have access to create a library are still shown the
New Librarybutton. This creates a confusing user experience since, if such an user tries to create a library, they get an error down the UI flow. This PR fixes this issue.
As such, this PR does the following:
New Librarybutton is now only shown to eligible users in the split studio view, instead of all active users.Supporting information
This PR is a companion to openedx/frontend-app-authoring#1216
